Paste Swim Trunks

In 2010, I decided to expand my line of t-shirts into swim after realizing the options for a nicely-cut swim suit could only be found in the luxury market. Everything else went below the knees and/or puffed at the hip with a horrible elastic waist, or was an ill-fitting, spandex mini-short. It also allowed me to continue to create graphics to be worn, and venture out into bold fabric prints that I could design from scratch, that I also saw was lacking in men’s swim. I also developed a special design technique that allowed an image to carry over from one side of the leg to another, the swim trunk essentially becoming a canvas for a print or photograph. I debuted the collection that year at various retail tradeshows, with great response. A few years later, the men’s swimwear market exploded, offering better tailored options, and more playful prints and similar photographic layouts on their swim. Some lines even made it their “thing.”
