About

I dropped out of film school to be a rock star. Though stardom never ensued, I did learn how to silkscreen, to make posters for my various gigs (including at legendary rock clubs like CBGBs and the Continental). I started a small, silkscreen t-shirt line (Paste), featuring my one-of-a-kind graphics. I sold the tees at local fashion markets around NYC, then to stores, and eventually built a career as a graphic artist, collaborating with the likes of the Guggenheim Museum, CB2, Bloomingdale’s, Papyrus, Urban Outfitters, Hankyu (Japan) and the NYC airports.

In 2014, I opened a small shop inside Artists and Fleas Chelsea Market (still open to this day) and started to shift toward a career in film and writing. I have since written a novel and several award-winning screenplays. In 2020, I wrote and directed my first short film, Cocktail Hour, which played at film festivals and won multiple Best Short awards. For 2023, I’ll be debuting my second short, Goodbye Tango and my new feature script, Loves Company.

I live in Brooklyn, NY with his husband Sa’ar and my dog Bea Arthur.
