Krystal Snouts has reached her early 30s, and has yet to catch up to the fabulous, alternative life she has invented for herself on Instagram. Instead, she is stuck in her hometown of Dover, Delaware, selling trailer homes, playing the lotto, and dodging the rent she owes her landlord parents. Things will all change, Krystal believes, once she hooks an established, generous man to easily provide her with the comforts in life (shortlist: free dinners at the Olive Garden and Amazon gift cards). Yet her ambition shifts up a gear when her high school BFF, who has seemingly gone on to much better things in the international fashion world, reappears in her life. With the help of her faux Instagram and a few fabricated connections, she is invited by her friend, who sees possible inroads for himself, to a billionaire’s estate in Italy. Krystal finally has the chance to taste the reality of her embellished social-media life, and if she can blend in and keep her stories straight, perhaps nab a billionaire and make it permanent.
